Cryptic Studios' Jack Emmert joined the cast of The Big Freaking Podcast recently to talk about Champions Online (CO) and Star Trek Online (STO). Emmert begins the interview by talking about Cryptic's divergence from NCsoft with City of Heroes and how they evolved into their current status with CO. Emmert also points out that Cryptic is not currently focusing on bringing their MMOGs to consoles. The discussion eventually turns to the reception of STO and Emmert's comments about harsh reviews of the game and how he feels MMOG players measure a newly launched game. Emmert explains how some of the reviews of STO were disappointing to Cryptic and confirmed that the game currently has over 100,000 subscribers. Emmert went on to discuss the upcoming STO content and the newly launched CO content, Revelation.
